The RIFF – Research Infrastructures for the Future of Ukraine project was set up to support the recovery, modernisation and long-term development of Ukraine’s research infrastructure system, and to strengthen its integration into the European Research Area (ERA).

As part of this effort, RIFF held the “Thematic Summit on Physical Sciences & Engineering, Social Sciences & Humanities, and Energy” at the National Synchrotron Radiation Centre SOLARIS: the first of two summits designed to turn dialogue into concrete collaboration between research infrastructures. Our Executive Director, Dr Andrew Harrison, took part on CERIC’s behalf, reaffirming our long-standing commitment to standing alongside the Ukrainian scientific community: a commitment that has seen CERIC host Ukrainian researchers across its Partner Facilities since 2022.
