CERIC Romanian Partner Facility at the Euronanoforum 2019

Location
12-14 June 2019, Bucharest - Romania

On 12-14 June, the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union organized the EuroNanoForum 2019, which took place in Bucharest (Romania), bringing together scientists, industrialists and policy makers.

Corneliu Ghica, head of the Laboratory of Atomic Structures and Defects in Advanced Materials – the Romanian CERIC Partner Facility at the National Institute of Materials Physics in Magurele, participated with the presentation Nanoscale materials characterization in a borderless Central European space: NIMP participation in CERIC-ERIC.

The talk was part of the parallel session “Nano and multi-scale characterisation for a wide rage of applications”, which aimed to investigate the issues related to multi-scale, multi-technique and real-time characterisation and integration with the latest knowledge in materials modelling that could lead to a better understanding and/or discovery of new phenomena and complex functional material systems, essential for new breakthrough products and industrial competitiveness.

Nearly one thousand participants from Europe and across the globe attended the Euronanoforum 2019, which offered valuable opportunities for discussions on cross-sectorial challenges focusing on both the industrial application of research results and future strategic research priorities in the area of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials of the Horizon 2020 NMBP Programme and beyond.
