ACCESS2ACCESS
Bringing together leading Research Infrastructures from different scientific domains, ACCESS2ACCESS (Shaping the Future EU Access Pathways for Research Infrastructures) addresses the challenges of Europe’s fragmented Research Infrastructures (RIs) landscape by making access more discoverable, inclusive, fair, efficient, scalable and adaptable. It supports researchers in identifying and accessing the most suitable infrastructures, while aligning with the European Research Area (ERA), the European Charter for Access to Research Infrastructures, the European Strategy on Research and Technology Infrastructures (2025), and the next Multiannual Financial Framework and the Framework Programme 10 (FP10).
Through evidence-based analysis, stakeholder co-creation, policy development, governance modelling and concept prototyping, ACCESS2ACCESS will shape a future “one-stop” European access framework. A strong programme of stakeholder engagement, dissemination and policy dialogue will maximise the project’s visibility, uptake and long-term impact.

OBJECTIVES
- Establish a robust evidence base through exploitation of the vast repository of experiences from earlier access initiatives and build the foundations for a future EU-wide access scheme;
- Capture stakeholder and user needs through consultations, deep dives and policy dialogues;
- Co-design governance, funding and policy models aligned with the RI Access Charter;
- Develop a conceptual AI-assisted single-entry discovery model to harmonise the user journey;
- Address equity, efficiency, and sustainability in access to RIs.
CERIC’S ROLE
CERIC actively contributes to the co-design of governance scenarios, sustainable co-funding models, and access policy recommendations, bringing them together into a coherent policy framework for future European-wide RI access schemes that are strategically aligned with ERA priorities and FP10.
