Jana Kolar at the Tour d’Europe
On 15-16 January, the RISE (Research, Innovation, and Science Policy Experts) high level group advising the Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, Carlos Moedas, visited Vienna, as a part of their Tour d’Europe. CERIC Director Jana Kolar was invited to contribute to the discussion, which focused on the topics covered in the report “Open Innovation, Open Science, Open to the World” by the RISE group.
The discussion covered mission oriented research and the interplay between societal challenges and Key Enabling Technologies – KETS should be organized in order to reinforce innovation with high societal potential. Finally, another major topic focused on the way R&I investment could ensure concrete impact which is understandable to citizens.
