ISTAC evaluation of the CERIC Romanian Partner Facility
On the 22nd and 23rd of April an ISTAC (International Scientific and Technical Advisory Committee) delegation performed the evaluation of the Romanian Partner Facility (PF) at the National Institute of Materials Physics in Magurele.

This activity is very important because it reflects CERIC’s ongoing commitment to monitoring and improving the quality of its infrastructure, ensuring it meets the highest standards while continuing to advance.
The assessment was conducted by an international Committee of Evaluators (CoE) composed by Marta Carroni (Stockholms Universitet), Vega Lloveras (Institut de Ciència de Materials de Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) and Regina Ciancio (Area Science Park), and has been supported by the Director of the CERIC Romanian PF Ionut Enculescu and by local beamline scientists Mariana Stefan and Corneliu Ghica.
Following the evaluation, ISTAC carried out its regular meeting, which has been attended, among others, by ISTAC Chair Annalisa Pastore and Co-chair Robert McGreevy, and by several members of CERIC, including Executive Director Andrew Harrison.
