Scientific Programme
“CERIC’s Future in Life Sciences: A Focus on Aging” has a dual aim.
On the one hand, to present some of the most advanced international research being conducted in the Life Sciences field, as well as their potential application; on the other hand, to understand how CERIC, with the sophisticated analytical investigation techniques included in its offer, can further contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge related to the Life Sciences in the coming years.
In particular, the symposium – dedicated to the theme of aging considered under different aspects – will focus on three challenges that are particularly important in this field: Neurodegeneration, Muscle-skeletal diseases and Technical frontiers and Biomaterials. For each scientific challenge there will be a dedicated section (half a day), with speeches from selected speakers followed by a shared discussion. The last day of the symposium will be dedicated to a global debate, in which the main outcomes of the event will be outlined in terms of future developments of CERIC in the Life Sciences domain.
